The show will be Sunday, May 22nd from 2-4 pm at MI Elements grains and grounds 3124 Jefferson Ave, Midland, MI We were very pleased to be invited in to use this wonderful space and we feel it will provide a great listening room for our audience and performers.
Our featured songwriters this month will be Ann Arbor's Americana Queen Songstress Bill Edwards and Sarah Schingeck
Bill Edwards is both a master of the songwriting craft and a seasoned and compelling performer. He started his career in the singer-songwriter scene in Buffalo, NY in the ’70s, and his journey has led him from bluegrass to country-rock, to classic country and Americana.
All along the way, the constant has been songwriting. Bill won the Country division of Billboard’s® national songwriting contest and his songs have been recorded by other artists and featured on TV and the silver screen. He’s held staff-writer positions in Nashville and studied the craft at the feet of masters.
Bill can more than hold his own with both acoustic and electric guitar, with fiddle, mandolin, and lap steel. He sings with an expressive voice that brings his songs to life like no one else’s. Years of shows for audiences small and large have honed his performance skills, whether solo or with a band.
Bill boasts a catalog of seven full-length albums of original songs. His latest, 61356, is available here and here. Bill produced, arranged, recorded, and mixed the entire project in his home studio.
Bill continues to write songs that’ll move your heart or move your feet or both.
He's a songwriter's songwriter. ''

Sarah has sung in various local groups including Biss, Folkit, The Pedley Project, The John Reece Project, Sarah, and the Groove, The Sugarbeats, The Schindigs, and various worship bands in churches in both Holland, MI. and the Saginaw/Bay area.
Sarah majored in music at Hope College in Holland, MI., and Mastered in Early Childhood Education at Saginaw Valley State University. She has used her college degrees to share the joy of music-making with a career in Elementary Music in the Essexville-Hampton Public School District. Sarah treasures acoustic music and the work of talented singer/songwriters and through their influence Sarah felt inspired to write her own music and songs. Sarah released her first EP titled "Be Still" in January of 2018 which included five of Sarah's original songs. The EP was recorded at Reed Recording Company in Bay City, MI. Sarah's vocal stylings have been inspired by and compared to artists such as Gillian Welch and May Erlewine. Her songwriting styles vary from thoughtful, tender, and spirit-filled to silly and clever.
They will be joined by me, Bob Hausler, hosting and sharing some of my songs and stories.
